English language challenges

Hi,
On the subject of today I can say that the topid of english in this faculty was a innovation, because before not exist English. In my case it was something special because I don´t say nothing in english, even say hello!! was difficult for me. For this motive I think that include english in the program is  good, but also is necessary learn english today. Respect of the blog is very useful because learn differents words and the vocabulary is perfected. Also in the blog I can write differents topic of my interest,I write of my work; and my family, my life, my experiences, etc, in several opportunities is very funny.

Regarding my issues that I need to improve English I think that study in some academy for example instituto de cultura británica or other institut because is necessary for my speak english perfect because this work , the art work, need that the artists communicate with persons of differents countries. My english is Little but in the school was terrible.  My talk is poor, but I have me faith in that I learn english very good. Also I would like travel for the world, apart of my work and his needs, my desire is travel for many places. The only language that is global, I am forced to learn English only for that reason, maybe if global language is French, I learn French, is very beautiful.

The other day for obligation I had to talk english with three curators of Croacia. For these reasons working I have to speak English much more than what I want, but still is very Little. The ideal is speak daily. In general how little I speak English is for work, and with art vocabulary.  I can say I don't speak English daily.

Good and bad points

Hi, in my life exist differents good events that I value deeply. For example my relation with my aunt, she was genial, she died in 2010, but my memory with she is very important and beautiful, my aunt... Sandy was the best person, she taught me about the love and value of the life. My relation with my granmother and grandfather also was genial and important for me, my grandparents raised me, they were the best grandparents in the world, I grew up with them, they died . My sister is other important good thing that has happened to me in life, she is beautiful, is the motor of my existence. My mother is the best mother in the world and my father also. My boyfriend Victorsito is my partner, is the best, a great person, my best friend and my love. Really my life is good, with difficults but with much love.

Other important good point in my life is make art. The art is the other motor of my existence apart of my sister, my family and my boyfriend. The art is my need. I like create artworks, large installations with graphic elements. In my work I express my ideas and visual fixations. Is very important for me express my ideas especially of femele identity and my inside world. The art is my lifesaver.

I could say, that the death of my aunt and my grandparents is the bad point of my life, but my learning of they is the most important. I believe in God, and I know they are in a better place with God.

I believe that I have no debts with my life. I'm happy with my work, my family, my boyfriend, my creations of art, my faith in God, my spirituality. I want to enjoy life every second.

A petition

My boyfriend Victorsito asked me a favor. He asked me to write a text on his art work considering that  I want to go to study MA in art history and theory, and I need to strengthen my writing about works of art and artists. It is for this reason that I decided write about their artwork but in English.

Victor Hugo Bravo works with essentials elements along their artistic journey,  are elements formals; conceptuals and materials. Within the formal elements we see camouflage deployment in various forms that mutate in the history of his work. Other important formal element is the use of political icons, with graphic resources very powerful. Also  the using of abject images, of war, of death and erotic tendency.

Respect of the conceptual elements, exist differents concepts and inquests of possible senses that determine the work. A conceptual relation of the work is the link between father and government, rather between father and law or social institutions, as control statutes. This concepts are opposed into other concepts applied in the work as instinct and abject (abyecto). The work reflects the repression of the institution on the human instinct.

Respect of the material elements, the refuse and object of cull are the main elements that make up the work, with trash the artist creates large installations, the grand format of the works is another important feature, the most works in two and three dimensional include large space. The enamel is the principal paint that the artist uses for his work, with enamel the artist  generates a new "big toy" with camouflage, mental maps with a mixture of geography and camouflage and new installations with weapons of torture.

Environment

I don´t know where people learn to have a practice friendly for environment because not exists specific place where teach care for the environment. Maybe a little at school, but it is not important topic in Chilean education. I wish it was an important issue and that people be educated in the issue.

I incorporate recycling into my daily habits, in my building all the waste is classified, in this place I learned to select all for recycling later. Other form of recycling in my situation is to incorporate garbage in my art works,  this is very useful, because make the plástic work is cheap when using garbage rather discarded objects.

I do not walk by bike, but if I  walk a lot. I consider that  cycling is a good alternative for the health and the environment, but I feel afraid of the Bicycles.

 I don´t belong to any environmental group, but I support the cause for the environment, because our world is being damaged by our own hands, by our own irresponsibility.

 I would like that with  art the people understand the value of what we have, I like to do that  my artwork generate environmental awareness in people.

 At least I can say that I do not smoke, I don´t drive cars, I don´t use aerosols excessively, are the concerns that I have. What is missing in our society is education. The Education is the most important weapon to combat environmental problems, the only way is to teach people to care by the world and Nature.

mental health

Hi,
This topic is a problem worldwide. In my country differents persons endure schizophrenia . The schizophrenia is a illness very unhappy and complex. The persons are fragile in this situacion. Is very difficult have control about the symptons, are hallucinations and paranoia basically. The mental health is a topic that not interest for the government, the persons with mental illness not have support of government for heal his illness.

For understand this problem is important know all symptons of this persons with mental illness, specifically the schizophrenia. Apart of the hallucinations and paranoia also exist in little moments a disarray of the body. People with schizophrenia don't differentiate between reality and projection of your mind, they can believe things incredibly fantastic. The most serious problem is when there psychosis and they believe that are on the verge of death.

Another big problem are psychiatric hospitals or clinics. In this places in Chile still occupy electroshock, located in the same bedroom depressive and schizophrenic, regardless of the differences in disease. I read a book called: "La dieta de la muerte" (the death diet), the wrote a girl anorexic. This girl said in his book that saw when they placed electroshock to her roommate, and she suffered a threat that him would do the same  with she.

 It is the sad reality the world of mental health, the worst is that nobody cares solve anything for the benefit of patients of these diseases.

My work

I would like write about my work, because is very necessary understand the relation of the concepts in English respect of my plastic work. The first I like say that my work in his majority are installations with work specific in object and three-dimensional space. In my installations the principal recourse apart of the object is the graph. I like the recourse graph in the plastic work in general, but is my private obsession for the creation. Also I like the colours in particular that I used in the images, this colours is red, black and white. But this is my relation formal with my work, in art theory is the signifier, but not is a description of meaning.

The concept of my work are various, but have a sense with a feminist speech.  For me is very important the woman and the female identity. For this motive my creations have a recourse of the reiteration or repetition of a gesture in particular, for example write a specific text with reiteration in a clothing. This last visual recourse I used in a work with concepts in movement respect of serigraph and engraving.

I like the serigraph, is very interesting and funny in the process of creation of the copy. The serigraph have concepts that my work contain, is for example the idea of mould, in Latin is matrix. This concept is very important in my work, is central. The matrix is in relation with the female identity and the politics ideas, and the process in his real sense of the serigraph. Matrix is womb, matrix is mould, matrix is container, matrix is the representation of the female.

The artist Bansky (sidewalk artist) decides included his work  the market, his works are worth much money.
But the story is different in your case, because he put a stand pop-up in Central Park on Saturday (he artist currently lives in New York, EE.UU).

The artist writing on his website he said: "Yesterday I set up a stall in the park selling 100% authentic original signed Banksy canvases. For $60 [£38] each."

Besides these words, the artist  released a video of  two and a half minutes where an old man appeared that seemed to be selling imitations of Banksy, but were indeed authentic Banksy canvas.

This is the ultimate publicity stunt Banksy. His exhibition in live entitled "Better Out Than In" corresponds to a residence on the streets of New York, and that it does is create a new piece of work every day.

I must say that Banksy is a very controversial artist (out of this summary) from the beginning of his career. His interventions in the street are very denotative, and in many cases quite critical. Work with the stencil is to work with a graphical technique, belonging the street language. Work on the street is to mark territory, is to demonstrate that he exist in the world, and to create a world within a other world. I love to Banksy,
but I think he did wrong in appear in the world as a artist,  must have been an unknown, his work would have been magical forever.

my best vacation

Hi,
My best vacation was when child, in the house of my maternal grandparents in San Sebastian of Litoral Central. In this house I was the happiest girl in the world, I went to the beach every day, and when I came of the beach and was in the house, I laid me on a beach chair and I watched the change of tones of colours of heaven until it came night.

In this house I made great friends, for example a child that his name was Huayí, he was an Arab boy, his parents had a restaurant on the road. This child was saying always that wanted to be an entrepreneur like his parents. I also played with my cousins and Huayí,  during all afternoons nearly every day, my cousins was more bigger that me, for this motive they created most entertaining games.

In this vacations I went with my grandmother to the road to buy lettuce and eggs sometimes morning. With my grandmother were very complicit, she died when I was 13 years old, during my first 13 years, she was my pillar and my fellow adventurer, then my vacation during my first 13 years relate to my grandmother, she was the star of my childhood.

 

Today in my class...

Today in my class, I feel embarrassment. Nobody in my school understand  that for obligation I have to study english in the nivel four, is a class of the department of english of the Universidad de Chile. This blog is a part of the different work that  demand the university. I don´t want make blog, but is my obligation. This Blog is a mark for approve the subject of english. For me is very important approve this subjet, I want finalize my career, english is also necessary to approve for finalize my career.

In relation the blog, I like one publications, in others I lie, for example not is of my interest know Roma, I write this text because was obligation the point forced of speak of a country, although Roma is very beautiful, well, actually, I would like to know Rome .

Behind of this declaration, I understand that I have two fears: not approve english and the embarrassment of that the people know that my english is very poor. Other thing of this last point, is that when was child english was very difficult for me, in my school the students spoke english perfect, but I was very awful. In my other subject I had mark 7, but in english ... I don´t know, but I think that my teacher of my school was a terrible.

Is my history with the english, is my class of today, always a trauma with english.

Country...

I would like to visit differents countries, but exist a country especial for my for the architecture, is Italy, Roma specifically. Italy is a simple of various types of art, differents periods of time respect of the history art. Is for this motive that I like to visit Roma, I would like see for example the paint of Caravaggio, your artwork is genial, also to visit various places of the city. Roma have varied types of gastronomy, I like the "pasta", is very delicious, nothing more delicious that the pasta in my opinion, also the pizza, lasagne, etc.

I don´t know nothing of Italy except the gastronomy and art, maybe a little the personality of the people in Italy, that is very extravagant, I´ve know three persons that live in Roma, also the persons that work in the TV, they are a strong personality.

I would like visit all museums and art place, but besides walk for the streets, explore the cemetery, travel other parts of Italy aside of Roma.

I would like to study in Italy, I like make the postgraduate study, I don´t like live, but study in Italy is a genial idea, is less time, I´m devoted to my family, live in other country not is a good idea in my situacion.

Italy is genial, is the country that I would like visit.

My ideal job

My ideal job is work like artist. I love art, I can´t imagine working on something else. As a child I dreamed of being an artist, work in my workshop generating art objetcs; photographs, paintings, sculptural objetcs and graphics images. On the other hand, complementary to the plastic work, I would write about art theory, and developed the analysis capacity of a work of art using the text as medium.

The principal attribute that is needed for to be an artist is great visual perception, also gret sense of form and space, a strong relation with the graph, and with the painting as a matter. But also is very important manage ideas and concepts that are great personal interest, and create an area of interest to generate investigations of visual art.

I want to be a good artist because the art interest me since child. Deciding to become an artist id difficult, because is transforms in the center of your life, but the work is unpaid. Not is necesary to find this work, we can all be artist, the difficult is work without pay.

the first semester

Hi, my first semester was intense, because I learned many things, but was marked by the student movement, prompting many stoppages. But despite the student movement, I learned a lot and developed my work solidly. Among the things I learned was working with the concepts relating to serigraph and also the sculptural object.

The sports I practiced were taekwondo and weigthlifting in the gym. What more I liked was weightlifting and the practice with machines in the gym. I admit I´m very loose now, but the first semester I had so much energy, I was going almost every day to train.

The main problem I had to face was leave taekwondo by the problems with the teacher. The teacher was very male chauvinist, and support that was very complex.

In the first semester I decided many things, how to enter the magister of history and art theory, and now I prepare for enter in magister
